Diese schlichte und doch wunderschöne Authentizität, die ich an Lennon so bewundere, findet sich auch bei meinem guten Freund Daniel Kisters. Wie ein Wasserfall schreibt er derzeit deutschbetextete Popknaller, die mir in ihrer charaktervoll witzigen aber oft auch zynischen Art sehr ans Herz gehen. Einer von ihnen ist „Auf der anderen Seite“, die Erzählung eines psychedelischen Tagesablaufs, die sich daher auch gut als Instrumentalstück eignet.
Daniel war der Mensch, der mir nach Abschluss meines Studiums gezeigt hat, dass Jazz auch Spaß machen kann, wenn man dessen elitäre Maskerade dem Hohn zum Fraße vorwirft und stattdessen authentisch an die Sache herangeht. Damit hat er sich - vermutlich ohne sein Wissen – zu einem meiner wichtigsten musikalischen Einflüsse gemausert, und darum war es mir ein Bedürfnis ihn in diesem Konzept mit einzubinden.
